Artist Rachel Wimpey of Willowbrush Gallery spent nearly two years creating this stunning expression of Genesis 1-2:3, commissioned especially for the ICR Discovery Center for Science and Earth History. The vibrant colors were chosen to bring these foundational Scriptures to life, showing that the word of God is as powerful today as it was when God spoke the universe into being.
Each of the six days of creation is presented in a dynamic, connected style as God commands "Let there be" and His creation becomes more and more defined. Once God has declared His creation "very good" and ended His creative work, the seventh day brings a satisfying conclusion of rest and peace in the perfection of the Creator's presence and the beauty of His magnificent handiwork.
